Don't give up on it!
Give youself a week, where you do half the stuff on the tablet, and half with the mouse. Ease into it. Don't try to make the switch instantly. Or else things get confusing and sloppy.
Then, slowly relieve yourself of the mouse. Eventually, you will only need to use it on the odd occasion for random things.
program the buttons on the side to be undo and redo so you don't have to switch between the tablet and the keyboard ;)
oh yeah, new key frame and back, if you have four buttons ;)
I was planning to that. Undo, redo, next frame, back.
But I prefer having my left hand on the keyboard.
It feels a bit more familiar.
